New transmission supports the delivery of clean energy, enhances grid reliability, and creates jobs. Today the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced plans to invest $1.5 billion for four transmission projects that will support nearly 1,000 miles of lines. The investment is supplied through the Transmission Facilitation Program, thanks to the 2021 bipartisan infrastructure law. The move will create 7,100 megawatts of added capacity across six states and 9,000 construction jobs. bit.ly/4dwW9mV
