We have a proud history, and we're still growing

In the 1860s, Samuel Ramsden, a young stone mason from Yorkshire, arrived in Australia and established Victoria's first paper mill on the banks of the Yarra River, Melbourne. That’s where Amcor began. And we’re still growing! We have integrated around 30 acquisitions over the past decade. In 2018, Amcor announced our plan to acquire Bemis Company, creating the global leader in consumer packaging, with 50,000 people and about 250 plants in more than 40 countries.
