Steven Kelts (Director, Responsible Tech University Network, All Tech Is Human) details his experiencing cultivating All Tech Is Human’s community in Paris during a recent trip. 🇫🇷 “When asked to reflect on the meetup, Kelts mentioned, “It was also interesting to learn how many students are interested in this space. At that meetup, we had a number of students from around the world, all enrolled in a tech policy program at Sciences Po (Paris Institute of Political Studies). It was encouraging to know how many young people want to work on these difficult tech-and-society issues and to hear how inspired they are by great professors and mentors in the space.” Read more now: https://lnkd.in/eAFNFuQW

Come work with me at All Tech Is Human! Our NYC-based non-profit is hiring a community manager. This is an essential role, given that everything we do at All Tech Is Human is centered on community. Our organization has set out to build the world's largest multistakeholder, multidisciplinary network in Responsible Tech. This powerful network allows us to tackle thorny tech & society issues while moving at the speed of tech. How? We leverage the collective intelligence and community involvement of thousands of individuals across the globe. Our new community manager will be playing a key role in maintaining and growing this vibrant network. Our Slack community, for example, now has over 10k members across 98 countries. Individuals on our Slack are using it as a springboard to independently organize their own social gatherings across the world. We also like to bring people together at All Tech Is Human. Last year we held 23 in-person gatherings in NYC, London, DC, and SF, so we are looking for someone based in NYC and excited about traveling to DC, SF, London, and some other cities that have expressed interest. This community manager would also help tie together our various programs, which now involve a network of 42k and growing. This includes our large mentorship program (run by Sarah Welsh, PhD) and our expanding university network (run by Steven Kelts), along with our seven current working groups and also our affiliates program (run by Sandra Khalil). I'll be on a livestream this Thursday at 1pm ET with Sandra, Rebekah Tweed, and Alexandra Feldhausen to talk about this role (link in comments). And I will also share info about the role in the comments. Who would make an excellent community manager for All Tech Is Human? Let them know about this opening! If you know us, you know that we "move at the speed of tech," so we are making this hiring soon. #AllTechIsHuman #ResponsibleTech
