Different doesn’t mean deficient. DC policy influencers recognize that understanding the learning differences among adults and tailoring programs to support them is key. Putting sweat equity behind learning by understanding learner variability and aligning behind diversity can close a significant gap in literacy skills. Being truly #ALLIN means not only accepting differences but embracing differences in how we learn. More than 90% of 200 policy influencers surveyed believe that literacy rates in the United States have improved in the last few years. However, more than 50% of adults in the United States still have room for growth and the need to increase foundational reading, numeracy, and digital skills. Policy influence is crucial within and beyond the Beltway to achieve a cultural shift around the narrative of adult literacy. As a community, we need to act as the influencer’s influencer. Movements like ALL IN have keen insight on what it takes to create radical change. We are #ALLIN on creating a new standard around the importance of adult literacy in our society. Let's be the change we want to see and be #ALLIN for adult literacy. To learn more about our research and efforts, click here: https://lnkd.in/gMYFjCd3

Resources create access, access drives results - For most employers, factors that drive funding for literacy skills training include higher quality of work, talent development and retention, and improved bottom lines. In order to lead and drive the renaissance of literacy in our society, it’s imperative that funding be a pillar in our strategy. We collectively understand the importance of resources in order to improve performance and ensure healthy work environments. Cashflow is a must in order to truly be #ALLIN.
