Align Capital Partners is pleased to officially announce the recent sale of Action Elevator Company. Action is a leading independent provider of elevator services led by founder and CEO John Marshall, Sr. Action completed two strategic acquisitions during its partnership with ACP, including Avery Elevator Corporation and Century Elevator, which expanded the Company’s presence in the Mid-Atlantic.  “It has been rewarding to work alongside the Action team to drive geographic density and new customer acquisition across the Company’s core markets,” said ACP Founding Partner Steve Dyke.  Operating Partner Ervin L. Cash, Vice President Kurt Smentek and Vice President Sarah Whitney were key members of ACP’s investment team.  Houlihan Lokey and Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP advised Action Elevator on the transaction.

Align Capital Partners' portfolio company Cleartelligence announced today it has acquired Bardess Group.  Bardess serves blue-chip enterprise customers across a variety of industries and extends Cleartelligence’s solution offerings. “The acquisition of Bardess is an important next step toward becoming the premier provider of AI-first data solutions, aiming to create significant value for enterprise and private equity clients through increased revenue, productivity and profitability,” said CEO Greg Boone. The deal marks the first add-on for the company since partnering with ACP in late 2022. Jack Parks, Chris Jones, James Moss and Ben Bryles will continue to pursue strategic add-ons with management.

Align Capital Partners is adding a new position in our Dallas office to support continued growth. The firm's Senior Accountant will work closely with ACP CFO Maseel Mir and Controller Elizabeth O’Dell, CPA. This high impact position will be heavily involved in various aspects of fund and management company related accounting and reporting activities. Congratulations to Align Capital Partners’ toxicology testing solutions platform company Premier Biotech on their recent acquisition of Desert Tox, a provider of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration certified laboratory testing services. Premier is a leading provider of proprietary oral fluid and other products, services and technology solutions utilized in workplace (pre-employment and post-employment), government (child and family services, probation, parole, corrections, law enforcement and DOT) and healthcare settings. Premier will continue to pursue strategic acquisitions to enhance and broaden the Company's industry-leading portfolio of diagnostic products and services. Align Capital Partners' portfolio company Cleartelligence announced today the appointment of Owen Frivold to President alongside the acquisition of Winter Sun, a data and digital transformation consulting firm founded by Owen.    Cleartelligence is an AI-first, data & analytics consultancy focused on helping enterprise and private equity clients envision, design, and implement solutions that solve complex business problems and accelerate value creation through data-driven insights. Owen brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in technology leadership and scaling digital consultancies, including most recently as Co-Founder and EVP of Strategy at Hero Digital.     “Cleartelligence has greatly expanded its team and resources in the first year of our partnership and is well positioned for continued growth in the data & analytics industry,” said Jack Parks. “Through the continued pursuit of strategic add-on acquisitions and our growing private equity portfolio company practice, we believe the Company is uniquely qualified to be clients’ trusted value creation partner through data.”

Align Capital Partners is thrilled to officially announce the formation of a new platform investment in the specialty tax space led by ACP Partner Matt Beesley. The platform was created alongside the acquisitions of CSSI - Cost Segregation Services, LLC and TaxIncennovations. The Company's core services lines include cost segregation, research & development tax credits and energy efficiency tax credit consulting services. “We see a tremendous opportunity to leverage ACP’s experience scaling professional service businesses, which is supported by an operating toolkit tailored toward investments in people, processes and technology," said CSSI CEO Matt Fossey. The ACP deal team also included Rob Langley, Ervin L. Cash, Dave Modi and Ben Bryles. CSSI will continue to pursue strategic acquisitions of specialty tax practices to further expand the Company’s service lines.
