Calling All Innovators! The Air Force Materiel Command is on the lookout for groundbreaking ideas from Airmen, Guardians, and civilians to drive our mission forward! The AFMC Accelerator innovation campaign is NOW OPEN for submissions until Sept. 13. On this day in 2006, the 418th Flight Test Squadron at Edwards AFB executed the final airdrop of the Falcon Small Launch Vehicle program! A 65-foot, 72,000-pound booster rocket mock-up was released from a C-17 at 32,000 feet, showcasing the incredible capabilities of our airmen and partners.
