🎃 Happy Halloween from Agilent! 🎃 Did you know that Halloween, celebrated on October 31st, has a history that dates back over 2,000 years to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain? The tradition was celebrated by the Celts to mark the end of the summer and the harvest, and the beginning of the dark, cold winter—a time often associated with mortality. At the time, it was believed that the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. To ward off roaming spirits, communities lit bonfires and wore costumes. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities including trick-or-treating, carving jack-o’-lanterns, festive gatherings, dressing-up in scary costumes, and eating sweet treats. Today, Halloween is celebrated around the world, blending ancient traditions with modern customs. It’s a time for fun, creativity, and a little bit of spookiness! 👻 A tradition of one Agilent employee is to carve creative jack-o’-lanterns in the shape of Agilent's Spark of Insight logo with family (shown in this video) and celebrate the festivity with her local community. Why do you enjoy celebrating Halloween? Share your favorite traditions in the comments! 🎃🕸️🍬 #Halloween #History #Traditions #October31
