September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and a great reminder of our first SOF truth - Humans are more important than hardware. People – not equipment – make the critical difference, so let’s build connected communities and encourage a culture that promotes help seeking and intervention when needed. #SuicidePreventionMonth #SuicidePrevention https://lnkd.in/g-ee_DPf

Earlier this summer, the @137th Special Operations Wing welcomed their newest Citizen Air Commandos with wing patches. As a tradition, Air Commandos returning from training at the 137th SOW are welcomed back with the unit's patch, serving as a reminder that they now carry on the legacy of all Air Commandos who came before them. The 137th Special Operations Wing is one of two Air National Guard units within AFSOC and is based out of Will Rogers Air National Guard Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Growth is not a matter of chance it is the result of hard work and dedication towards a common goal. 💪 Special Tactics Airmen assigned to the 24th Special Operations Wing and Italian special operations forces recently conducted range and military free fall jump training during Emerald Warrior 24 FTX II. AFSOC prioritizes joint, combined training exercises and simulations to enhance interoperability with our Allies and partners. Supported by U.S. Special Operations Command, Emerald Warrior is a joint, combined special operations exercise that prepares U.S. special operations forces, conventional enablers, Allies, partner forces, and interagency elements to respond to various threats across the spectrum of conflict. #trainhard #workhard #USSOCOM #AFSOC #AirCommandos

Refuel, Rearm, and Return to the fight 🛫 As Emerald Warrior 24 FTX II kicks off, our Air Commandos exercised AFSOC's capability to conduct runway-agnostic operations through Agile Combat Employment. Air Commandos secured a landing zone on Highway 63 in Bono, Arkansas, allowing multiple AFSOC aircraft to land and then performed Forward Arming and Refueling Point operations, which are key elements of ACE. FARP operations enable Air Force Special Operations Command aircraft to quickly refuel, rearm, and return to the fight, reducing downtime and increasing operational tempo. https://lnkd.in/eY_SSQyH

The United States Air Force has named the 12 Outstanding #Airmen of the Year for 2024 and SrA Jacob Cummings from the 352nd Special Operations Wing will represent Air Force Special Operations Command. Outstanding Airman of the Year represents the service’s top enlisted members from each of the major commands. As an OAY winner Cummings will wear the Outstanding Airman of the Year Ribbon with the bronze service star device on the ribbon. He will also be authorized to wear the OAY badge for one year from the date of formal presentation. Cummings represents the epitome of an #AirCommando – embodying extreme competency, creative problem solving and a bias for action. Congratulations SrA Cummings and keep up the great work! #AirForce #AirCommando USSOCOM

Have you ever wondered what life could be like in the military?! Here's a glimpse into who we are and what we offer. Joining our team can be a significant decision with various considerations such as training, education, individual and family benefits, travel, job security, and a sense of purpose and discipline. Our American patriots find their purpose in what they do and are ready to persevere at anything they set their minds to. #DefendingOurCountry #JoinUs
We recognize the service and sacrifice of our military and their families, and we dedicate resources, services, policies and programs to support the 2+ million uniformed service members and their 2.6 million family members across the globe. That’s why, under President Biden’s 2025 budget request for the DoD, we asked for a 4.5% military pay raise, more funding for military family support programs -- including childcare and commissary benefits -- and investments to improve our facilities worldwide. Military service offers incredible opportunities -- and generous benefits. Watch Secretary Austin’s message to learn how the DoD is working to take care of our men and women in uniform, and their families. FOR MORE: https://lnkd.in/dyv7kEgd
