About us
Every aircraft, munition, radar, business IT system, jet engine, and ISR system depends on the men and women assigned to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. We develop, procure, modernize and sustain Air Force weapon systems, and equipment. Our more than 26,000 dedicated professionals deliver the vast majority of the non-space and non-nuclear war fighting capabilities for the Air Force. We also administer the Air Force’s multi-billion dollar foreign military sales portfolio, providing American allies with the aircraft, weapon systems, equipment, supply and construction needed to defend their national sovereignty.

The Department of the Air Force Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications and Battle Management (DAF PEO #C3BM) is making significant strides in integrating the DAF BATTLE NETWORK. This initiative is part of the Department of Defense’s Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) effort. DAF PEO C3BM is part of #AFLCMC. During last month's Air & Space Forces Association’s "Air, Space & Cyber Conference (AFA)," Maj. Gen. Luke Cropsey (Air Force) and Maj. Gen. Bob Claude (Space Force) held a media roundtable and discussed the critical importance of collaborative work, explaining the effort of pulling together about 50 programs into one network, all with an eye toward #reoptimization for Great Power Competition (GPC). Today, a big milestone as #AFLCMC works toward #reoptimization for Great Power Competition (GPC). Our Mobility and Training Directorate has officially separated, forming the Mobility Directorate and Training Directorate. Also today, we officially stand-up our Combat Readiness Directorate. It replaces our Agile Combat Support Directorate and Rapid Sustainment Office by merging parts of both into one. AFLCMC Commander Lt. Gen. Donna Shipton will serve as PEO of Combat Readiness. We are intentional in everything we do. Reasons why these elements make up the Combat Readiness insignia: Globe: Signifies our worldwide reach with capabilities that have no geographic limitations. Swords & Arrow: The crossed swords represent our combat focus, while the vertical arrow represents our constant state of readiness. Together, they form Combat Readiness. Outstretched Wings: Depict a detailed and elevated approach to flight preparedness. Five Stars: Honor the five founding divisions that comprise Combat Readiness. Integrated Gear: Highlights our interconnected proficiency with an exceptional attention to detail.
