YOU HAVE A PLACE IN AFCEA. EXPLORE. Since 1978, our Chapter has helped members align technology and strategy.
About us
Our Chapter is a professional association for those engaged in defense, security and all related technology disciplines. Membership comprises military, government, industry, and academic organizations and individuals worldwide. Locally we serve Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), three Maryland counties -- Harford, Cecil, and Kent -- and Southern Delaware. With nearly 500 members, our events and activities offer thought leadership, networking, career and professional development opportunities. We strive to assist our members to align technology and strategy to meet the needs of the global defense and security community. Our 501 3c non-profit mission uses the AFCEA Educational Foundation to raise funds supporting merit-based scholarships to local high school and community college students and faculty. Largely through local sponsorships and event proceeds, we fund science and technology by engaging participation from educational professionals -- including elementary, middle, and high schools -- in Harford and Cecil Counties. The Chapter hosts regular technology engagements from September to May. These events feature Army C5ISR senior leadership, Emerging Leaders professional development, Small Business forums, and scholarship recognition dinner. In the summer, we host an annual Golf tournament dedicated to our Education Foundation providing financial aid to local deserving students who are interested in pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering or Math degrees. Join us as we grow. Become a Chapter Sponsor by contacting [email protected]. Or refer or become a member by connecting with [email protected]. If you have event ideas, drop us an email at [email protected] or [email protected].
