Our work relies on leadership like we’ve seen from both the California legislature and from Governor Gavin Newsom who together model the adoption of innovative, private/public approaches to solving big problems. 📢 Exciting announcement: Aclima has partnered with Amalgamated Foundation and JustFund to create Groundtruth Fund, an impact fund that supports community-based orgs working in underserved communities disproportionately impacted by #airpollution and #climatechange. In its first round, the fund granted $1 million, divided amongst 24 community-based organizations across New York State. “With the support of the Groundtruth Fund, we now have the tools we need to inform our community about what is harming our health, tell our stories, and inspire meaningful change. By bringing this data to light, we can create a healthier, more equitable future for New Rochelle," said Raya Salter (Climate Auntie), Executive Director of the Energy Justice Law and Policy Center, one of the recipients of Groundtruth Fund's grants.
