In honor of Veterans Day, the North Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives celebrates Charles "Burns" Burns, Jr., DCHA, MBA, a Healthcare Systems Specialist at the VA North Texas Healthcare System. With a background in Naval aviation, intelligence, and field artillery, Burns transitioned from military service to healthcare, leveraging his strategic planning, teamwork, and dedication to improve patient safety and care quality. Since joining the VA in 2019, Burns has advanced rapidly, now working to redesign processes that benefit both veterans and healthcare staff. He credits his military values—readiness, adaptability, and the "Kaizen" philosophy of continuous improvement—for his success. Burns’ journey reflects how veterans' unique experiences drive innovation, leadership, and impactful change in healthcare. Join us in celebrating Burns’ inspiring path and the contributions veterans make to healthcare! #VeteransDay #HealthcareLeadership #DEI #NorthTexasACHE #VeteransInHealthcare
