In WealthManagement.com’s 2024 Midyear Outlook, Access Managing Director Nik Kapauan recently shared how firms can take advantage of the increasing availability of data (“digital exhaust”) to differentiate themselves and create winning strategies. “With more data, firms can monitor their portfolio businesses in near real-time, understand the competition, and predict customer behavior and trends,” Nik said. “This knowledge is the foundation of a winning strategy, informing how firms and portfolio businesses can provide greater value and innovative services to customers and scale growth through M&A.” At Access Holdings, we embrace data-driven decision-making in everything we do. Thank you to our 17 ambitious summer interns for all their hard work and dedication over the past few months. It was inspiring to see them collaborate with various teams across the firm, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to the table.  Over the past ten weeks, our interns successfully completed 27 research projects across our various teams. In addition, they engaged in portfolio company site visits, participated in lunch & learns, completed four industry-specific certifications, and more. To celebrate the end of a successful summer, we hosted a fun-filled barbecue for the intern class, complete with some friendly competition in a few games of croquet. Congratulations to Kuvare on closing the sale of its asset management subsidiary, Kuvare Asset Management, for $750 million to Blue Owl Capital! What a great partnership ahead for the KAM team!   Since establishing the thesis and platform company in 2014 with Kuvare Founder Dhiren Jhaveri, Access has worked with the Kuvare team to capitalize on its successful middle market strategy in the life and annuity market.    We are proud to say that we have helped grow Kuvare from $500 million of total assets and $45 million of premiums, when the first acquisition was completed in late 2016, to $37 billion of assets and $5.7 billion of premiums as of year-end 2023.   We look forward to continuing to support Kuvare’s long-term growth.
