About us
AC Power, LLC is an award winning NYC certified WBE focused on converting low value land into revenue-generating solar energy sites. Collectively the AC power core team has over 50 years of experience developing renewable energy projects, monetizing environmental attributes, and redeveloping landfills for productive use. We leverage development, technical, legal, and investment experience to maximize the benefits of our projects. Every site is unique and we work with local engineers, planning and zoning boards, installers, regulatory agencies and stakeholders to bring projects to life and add clean energy to local grids. Our team manages the full suite of development from site assessment through development to operation and the sale of renewable energy. We can turn a simple idea into a revenue-generating operation in as little as 12 to 18 months. We partner with property owners who are dedicated to the renewable economy; have vacant or unused land they want to put into productive use; need a more stable electric supply; want to generate steady long-term revenues; or reduce electricity bills. AC Power has a pipeline of over 150 MW of projects in various stages throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Reach out to us so that we can talk about how your land can generate revenue and help build a sustainable future.

We're at the Halloween party. We're at the AC Power birthday party. We're at the combination Halloween-AC Power birthday party. 🎉👻 In 2016, Annika Colston envisioned a future where responsible land reuse could accelerate climate solutions and reenergize communities. Eight years later, AC Power has become a leader in the brownfield solar space, developing projects that breathe new life into contaminated properties and making her idea a reality. Because really, what's scarier than an unlivable planet? Here's to eight years of repurposing for a brighter future, and many more to come! #ACPowerToThePeople #WomenInEnergy #EnergyTransition #Solar #CleanEnergy

Some exciting photos coming out of our community solar project in the Town of Niagara, New York! This 13.5 MW project, located on closed portions of an operational landfill, is bringing revenue to both the town and the Wheatfield School District in addition to powering the community with clean energy. So excited to be working with Montante Solar on this transformative project! #EnergyTransition #BrownfieldSolar #CleanEnergy #ACPowerToThePeople

Utilities and states are trying to expand community solar as larger utility-scale projects face bottlenecks. In certain states such as California, utilities and developers have remained at odds on how to properly structure a program. Separately, other utilities have now issued renewable energy RFPs seeking both grid-scale and community solar projects for future generation mix. Panelists from New York Power Authority (NYPA), Trajectory Energy Partners, AC Power, Arcadia, and Perch Energy are prepared to dive into community solar markets, policy, planning, and more. New on our blog: Business Development Analyst Daniela Ramirez breaks how AC Power evaluates sites that come to us — from policy research to financial modeling to landscape considerations — in order to ensure a successful project for all stakeholders. As Daniela points out, "A solar panel doesn’t hold a grudge against a land's past." But there is plenty of work to be done before the power can start flowing. Get a peek into a day in the life for our business development team and understand how we're rewriting the story of contaminated sites across the country! #ACPowerToThePeople #WomenInEnergy #EnergyInsights #BrownfieldSolar #EnergyTransition

Happy 100th Birthday to solar champion, President Jimmy Carter. In 1979, Carter installed 32 #solar panels on the White House roof, saying “Solar energy will not pollute our air or water. We will not run short of it. No one can ever embargo the Sun or interrupt its delivery to us. But we must work together to turn our vision and our dream into a solar reality.” This historic gesture helped move the U.S. toward energy independence and paved the way toward our clean energy future. Forty-five years later, we've come a long way toward making President Carter's dream a reality. https://lnkd.in/eDJxbyYv
