If you have sensitive data of any sort at your desk it must be properly secured. Depending on the level of sensitivity it may be necessary to take additional actions. For customer files, there should, be lockable file cabinets that should be fireproof and combination access at the very minimum. For internal documents, a lockable desk filing cabinet should suffice unless the information is pending public distribution in which case it would be wise to lock/store the information in the company vault. On no account should sensitive information of any sort be kept at your home address. Of course, any valuable information or securities (cash, stock certificates, cd's etc) should always be kept in the company vault with an up-to-date access log.

An example I see at work is the authenticator method. It seems to work well as far as I can see. Here at my place of employment we have to use the authenticator for everything.

I have to agree. This is very important. There are so many data leaks from improper handling and the black web. We all have a job to do, even on our personal accounts.

I totally agree, we must be aware of the importance of data, remember at least semi-annually the different types of fraud that arise as a result of an information leak, we are not just talking about leaking the credit card number, it is social reengineering , identity theft and many more ways.

i surely want to encrypt every sensitive data that i gathered and put the encrypt key to my self builted apps that i encrypt, so its 3 layer to even have the encrypted key 😁 i just use ask chat gpt for making simple encrypted program with pyqt5 gui for it and it works like charm. and use veracrypt to encrypt the program that i make from chatgpt. surely u can do even more protection like change the format of the veracrypt encrypted file if u want 😂

I find it helpful to work on one case at a time so that the participant's or patient's information is always handled according to policy.
