Always take the time to outline clear goals and objectives for your presentation. Provide specific bullet points on the key points you intend to cover and rehearse on your presentation in front of an objective audience. You not only want to make certain the content is engaging but that your presentation is the proper length so that you maintain the attention of your audience.

To enhance sales presentations, clearly define your objectives: highlight unique selling points, engage with storytelling, and demonstrate market knowledge. Set specific goals for audience takeaways, such as remembering key benefits and feeling confident about your product. Align feedback questions with these goals to ensure relevance and constructiveness. Collect detailed, actionable feedback, and use it to refine your presentations. This approach ensures your sales pitches are compelling, memorable, and aligned with your personal brand, driving better sales outcomes.

Choose reviewers who you respect for their honesty and understanding of effective presentations. Don't accept feedback from anyone - good or bad because it can be irrelevant.

As a trainer, I select my entire audience for feedback. I provide a workshop evaluation for each participant. I let them know I review the results and determine what I need to Stop, Start, and Continue doing before the next class. The questions are simple. What was your favorite part and funniest thing? What was confusing? What’s one thing that would make the training better the next time. So far ‘snacks’ are the number one answer. One reason I always have candy. If you find a mistake during a presentation just acknowledge it and let them know what it should say then move on. People understand no one is perfect.

Start with these questions. 1. What worked well? 2. What resonated with you? 3. What do you suggest that I might do differently next time. Note: Don't ask for good and bad. Instead seek constructive feedback,

Listen without judging or defending. If it feels unclear, ask for clarification such as, "can you give me an example of that?" When finished say "thank you" and mean it. Ask if you could bounce future ideas off them.

Consider the source. Not all feedback is relevant. Don't take it personally, these are just objective ideas. You can't please everybody, so don't try. My job is to please the client who booked me, not every single person sitting in that audience. Get a second opinion before you act on feedback.
