In my experience - especially with security firms in South Florida - Something I’ve learned over the years is taking a double look at the email address of the message. All major companies have their own servers and established email accounts. They do not deviate from those addresses. When my employees have an issue and the email address is not who it’s supposed to be from - it’s a scam. It is that simple. There are tons of other signs too. Grammatical errors, spelling errors, the spacing in the body of the text. Being vigilant and not overlooking the message just because it came to you inbox can save time and money. Good luck.
