The interview question that haunts me to this day was: "Describe a time you knowingly broke protocol." I was stumped, and felt like I was being set up by my interviewer. Did they want me to admit I broke rules and reprimand me if I did? Creative solutions don't necessarily have to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). Instead, they might force you to reframe your problem solving skills. It's important to focus on your "why" when showcasing creativity. Your reason, or "why", is your unique value proposition you bring to the team. Were you creative in your solution because you discovered a more efficient way? Were you trying to protect the customer journey in a positive way? Did you have to learn a skill on the fly?

Showcase projects from coursework, internships, or personal projects that demonstrate your ability to solve real-world problems using technical skills. Describe the problem you tackled, the methods you used, and the outcomes achieved.
