One thing I found useful is using software for pitch corrections and pitch analysis. Something simple as recording your student allows you to not only record but show student where they can improve by listening together they shave a better understanding of what the teacher is trying to communicate.

Stay informed, keep learning. There is always new innovation and systems being explored and implemented. You will find what works best for your delivery and what works best for your clients in order to achieve the outcomes you are looking for. Always ask for feedback as that informs what works and what does not as well as builds relationship and confidence in your client. After all, it should always be a service user approach to improving quality of their experience in achieving their goals.

Encourage students to embrace & love their natural, authentic sound before taking to technology to 'improve' things.' Some useful ways to embrace the teacher/student experience with technology is in the tooling: Set goals - use collaborative online platforms like Mural to set goals with your student. You can both view, update progress & give feedback in real time. Record your progress - Use video to record your students technique, playback & provide feedback. Make workbooks & training material available online for purchase or free download. Apps like teachable or dropbox are great.

Durante a minha experiência, tenho percebido que os alunos (crianças e adolescentes) têm dificuldade em visualizar os fenómenos vocais. Ao utilizar aplicações para visualização da afinação/harmónicos, notei que os alunos compreendem melhor o funcionamento dos elementos vocais.

I fing that vocal sessions are more fluent if I don't have pay attention in playing the piano or guitar for the singer. I prefer using track, usually recorded or coded by my self, so I am able to be present for the singer at all times. And easily change the pitch or the tempo - specially if rehearsing complicated riffs for example - of the track if needed. Here technology gives huge advantage.

A mí me ha resultado útil no solamente acudir a una formación "final" que muchas veces además es bastante concreta. Aunque pareciera que ganamos tiempo, en realidad nos ponemos en manos de lo mucho o poco que nos quieran contar... Abogo por meterse en el ajo desde el principio, aportando ideas, acudiendo a reuniones de desarrollo y kick offs. Es mucho más enriquecedor, te posiciona como pionero y además te permite aportar.

It is tempting to allow studios to dominate technological advances in pitch. Yet the correction of pitch based on a visual analysis does not allow for the human beauty and flow. That’s where you shine. So it is worth your time to learn to hear what you see and bend and flow in your own time and style. Don’t let others dominate your style by avoiding technology. Learn to integrate tech as your teacher.

It is important to first understand what your goal is. What is the end goal. Using technology with allow you to progress faster but remember you have to give yourself time to understand how these tools work before you can implement these and help others use the tools.
