The key word for me is 'consultant'. Too many recruitment specialists do not consult with their candidates/clients. What is right for them? What advice can you share? We should be working with our customers to find the best solution for them. And I will always advise to become an expert in whatever industry you recruit for. I work very close with my clients to gain an understanding of their culture, their objectives etc. this helps find the right person for them. My one golden rule is that I will never place my candidate in a company I wouldn’t work for myself!

Building relationships takes persistence. 💪 Many of the relationships I've built in recent years began with a cold call. Initially met with scepticism and a polite refusal, I persisted. I followed up with a cold email outlining how I could add value. I would continue to call and refer back to this initial outreach, gradually warming up the conversation. Remember, closing a prospect on the first cold call is rare. 🌟 Consistency is key – make more than one call.
