Vision is the unattainable dream and the mission takes you closer to fulfilment of the dream. Everyday the organization makes decisions and choices. Only when the key team members are aligned their decisions are a derivative of the Vision and Mission.

I know my circle of competence and I keep repeating that and enlarge that, that is all I do in my life. Actually the world is very crowded and I think I must focus on what I can contribute even a little, I do no indulge myself in mission or vision statement that is too complicated for me to understand.

When taking a long term view....focus on milestones. Places that you take the business...heights wherefrom it cannot fall and can operate business as usual....easily managed through delegation to a committed team. Identification of milestones is the key.
