It is my belief if you don't have conflict in a creative project, you're not thinking far enough outside of the proverbial "box." Conflict is the point where two (or more) different perspectives collide. Most folks deal with conflict in a negative manner (e.g. focusing on "winning" or trying to get emotional relief) instead of trying to find the nuggets in everyone's perspective to create an innovative solution to the project.
