Maingear's New 17-Inch Laptop Is Made for Gamers

It offers a Core i9 processor, RTX 40-series GPU, and a 240Hz display

This is not your average 17-inch laptop, and it has the price tag to prove it.

Laptops come in lots of different types, but not all of them are made specifically for gaming, like the new Maingear ML-17.

Barely more than a month after releasing the ML-16, Maingear announced the release of its newest laptop, the Maingear ML-17, in a press release sent to Lifewire. The new laptop is designed for gaming first and foremost, but is also specced out well enough that it can probably handle anything else you throw at it as well.

The new ML-17 is equipped with an Intel Core i9 (14th Gen) processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, Thunderbolt 5, and Wi-Fi 7. It's available in configurations up to 4TB storage and 64GB dual-channel DDR5 4800MHz RAM. The 17.3-inch QHD display has a 16:9 ratio and 240Hz refresh rate, and with the addition of Nvidia G-Sync technology, it should remain smooth even with the most intense graphics.

The ML-17 also has a high-end cooling system with "dual fans, four vents, and nine heat pipes," so it shouldn't overheat even during long hours spent on high-demand activities. And you can get custom skins that reflect your personality.

”The ability to connect dual 6K monitors with high refresh rates, or a single 6K or 8K monitor, along with high-speed data transfers and power delivery, means users can enjoy a seamless, immersive gaming experience, tackle intensive productivity tasks, and connect with next-generation peripherals with ease. Thunderbolt 5 ensures that the ML-17 is not only a powerhouse today but also ready for the future,” said Jason Ziller, the VP and General Manager of the Client Connectivity Division at Intel.

In short, the Maingear ML-17 is built for performance, but it also comes with a price tag that reflects that. The ML-17 starts at $3,899 and is available to order now from the company's website.
