Get PC Specs Through System Information System Information is the name of a utility built-in to Windows that displays all kinds of information about your computer. To open it, press Win+R and enter msinfo32 into the box. The System Summary section lists details like the computer model number and manufacturer, information about the processor, BIOS, motherboard, memory, virtualization, and more. Additional details are available from the left column about the modem, network, storage devices, keyboard, USB ports, drivers, services, etc. Third-Party System Information Tools Other programs offer detailed system information, too, but you'll need to download them to your computer. We keep a list of all the best free system information tools if you're interested in going that route. I usually recommend such software, like Speccy, if you need a super in-depth look at everything going on inside your computer. This method doesn't produce as much detail as some of the other techniques described on this page, but it's easy to do and doesn't require you to download anything. As you can see in this screenshot, you'll see general operating system details as well as the system type (32-bit or 64-bit), total and available RAM, network card information, and a few other details.
