This article explains how to get Max (formerly HBO Max) if you're a cable subscriber, want a standalone subscription, or have a different subscription. Get Max With a Cable Subscription Max is free with an HBO cable subscription from supported providers. To access the streaming service, you need to connect your provider account. Go to Max's site and click Sign In. Select your cable provider on the right side of the screen. If you don't see your provider (which includes services like Hulu and Prime Video Channels), select View All. Sign in to that account. Once you're verified by your provider, you'll create a Max account. Input your name and email address, tick the box to agree to the terms and privacy policy, and click Create account. You may receive a one-time code to verify your email account. Enter that code on the next screen. From now on, you can log in directly to Max without going through your provider. Sign Up for Max Online You can get Max as a separate subscription without having cable. Go to Max's site and click Sign Up Now. Review the available plans and choose the tier you want. Then, select Continue. An annual plan is cheaper than a monthly one, but you must pay the entire amount up front. Enter your email email address > click Continue and select a password. Then, choose Create Account. Next, add a payment method, and follow the prompts to complete the signup. Get Max as a Channel Add-On Some streaming services, including Hulu and YouTube TV, offer HBO or Max as a channel add-on to your subscription. YouTube TV offers Max as a standalone add-on or as part of its Entertainment Plus bundle, which also includes Starz and Paramount+ with Showtime. Check your streaming service to see if it's possible to add Max. Max is also available as part of the Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle with or without ads, though it's not eligible for the Ultimate Ad-Free Plan. If you're a current subscriber to Disney+ or Hulu, you can change to the bundle through the respective site. What About HBO Max? If you had an HBO Max subscription, it automatically turned into Max.
