Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck

On August 20, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after two years of marriage. She listed their date of separation as April 26.

Molly Mae and Tommy Fury

The pair met in 2019 during season 5 of Love Island U.K. when Molly entered the villa as a bombshell. They instantly hit it off and continued their relationship after the show ended and got engaged in 2023.

However, Molly announced they called it quits via Instagram on August 14.

“Never in a million years did I ever think I’d have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially this way,” she wrote. “I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.”

Joshua Malina and Melissa Merwin

Melissa filed divorce paperwork on August 2, Life and Style confirmed via court documents. She and the West Wing alum were married for 28 years and share two adult children. Melissa cited “irreconcilable differences” but did not list a date of separation. She requested spousal support.

Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird and Josh Efird

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alum Laryn “Pumpkin” Efird filed for divorce from husband Josh Efird after six years of marriage in Wilkinson County, Georgia, In Touch reported on August 2. The exes agreed to have joint custody of their four kids, Ella, Bentley and twins Sylus and Stella, and came up with a parenting plan so that they could both spend time with them, according to court documents obtained by the outlet. They also agreed to split the children’s medical expenses, extracurricular and school activities. Lauryn and Josh cited that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

Cardi B and Offset

Cardi B is the latest star to call it quits on her relationship in 2024. The “WAP” rapper filed for divorce from Offset for the second time on July 31, her rep confirmed to Page Six. Although the reason for the split is unclear, a source told the outlet that she was seeking primary custody of their two children, Kulture and Wave.

Maya Jama and Stormzy

Love Island host Maya Jama shocked fans when she and boyfriend Stormzy announced their breakup on July 18. The former couple had dated on and off for around five years and had just reconnected in August 2023. Maya shared the news via her Instagram Story.

“We’ve been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we’d be the couple announcing a breakup, but for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that’s needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to,” Maya wrote, per The Sun.

Christina Haack and Josh Hall

Josh Hall filed for divorce from Christina Haack on July 16, 2024, and listed their date of separation as July 8, Life & Style confirmed. The news came more than two years after their April wedding anniversary.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose

Life & Style confirmed that the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer filed for divorce from Firerose on May 23.

The couple tied the knot in October 2023 after previously meeting on the set of Hannah Montana, the Disney series in which Billy’s daughter Miley Cyrus starred in.

Joe Jonas and Stormi Bree

The middle Jonas brother and the model called it quits in May after five months of dating, a source told Us Weekly at the time.

“Joe has a very busy schedule between his kids and his career, so his romantic life has to take a back seat for now,” a source told the outlet of the pair.

Scott and Jaclyn Stapp

After 18 years of marriage, Scott and Jaclyn announced they were calling it quits. The couple announced their divorce on May 9.

“Out of respect for their family, Scott intends to navigate this difficult time privately,” a rep for Scott told People.

Dorit and PK Kemsley

Dorit ​Kemsley surprised fans when she announced that she and PK Kemsley were taking time apart via Instagram on May 9.

“We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together,” Dorit wrote in a joint statement. “To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children. We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey. With love, Dorit and PK.”

Ryan Seacrest and Aubrey Paige

A source close to Ryan and Aubrey told People that the couple had “mutually decided to part ways.”

“They plan to stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors,” the insider added.

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist

The Golden Bachelor stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist announced their plans to divorce just three months after their wedding on April 12.

“We have received so much love and support from so many people who watched The Golden Bachelor, and I don’t think we can tell you how many people told us that it gave them so much hope,” Theresa said during a joint interview with Gerry on Good Morning America. “We want none of that to change for anybody.”

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher announced their split via a statement on their Instagram Stories on April 5, 2024.

“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down,” they wrote. “In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley

Chance the Rapper and wife Kirsten Corley announced their decision to divorce after five years of marriage. 

“After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways,” the pair — who married in 2019 — announced in a joint Instagram Story on April 3. “We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together.” 

Gleb Savchenko and Elena Belle

“Elena and I broke up about a month ago,” the Dancing With the Stars pro said on April 2, 2024. “It kind of just happened.”

The dancer called his ex an “amazing person” but said the “timing” wasn’t right for them. “We had been together for almost three years and I had, like, the best time of my life with her. There’s certain things that just didn’t work out.”

Tom Cruise and Elsina Khayrova

Just three months after confirming their romance in December 2023, Tom Cruise and Elsina Khayrova called it quits.

“They weren’t gelling and realized they weren’t romantically compatible,” a source told Us Weekly on March 27. While there was no “bad blood” between the exes, the insider added, “They just had different ideas of what their relationship was going to be.”

Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan

Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan initially broke up in February 2024. However, just two days after they sparked split speculation, they spent Valentine’s Day with one another. At the end of the month, they filmed the reunion for The Traitors and confirmed that they had simply “hit a speed bump” in the relationship and were seemingly back together.

However, on March 20, 2024, Entertainment Tonight confirmed that Larsa and Marcus had split. People reported that the breakup was amicable. “Larsa is focusing on her exciting next chapter now,” the mag reported. “She’s always been someone who is ambitious and driven. She needs a match who has those similar qualities.”

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied

The Oscar-winning actress and choreographer finalized their divorce in France in February, a rep for Natalie confirmed to People on March 8. Natalie had filed to end their 11-year marriage in July 2023.

The Black Swan star and dancer welcomed two children — son Aleph in 2011 and daughter Amalia in 2017 — during their marriage.

KJ Apa and Clara Berry

Riverdale’s KJ Apa and Clara Berry split after four years together. She confirmed the news via a TikTok video on February 25.

When a fan asked Clara if she was still in a relationship with KJ, she replied, “No. You can see that I’m happier, no?”

She also said that the two were working on coparenting their son Sasha after the breakup, but admitted that it came with some challenges. “I am not with my son 50 percent of the time and therefore don’t know 50 percent of his life,” she explained. “That is something that is hard to accept.”

Jenelle Evans and David Eason

The Teen Mom stars filed for divorce, The U.S. Sun reported in early March. Jenelle claimed that David’s “substance abuse issues” and “erratic” behavior were the reasons for their split.

Gabriel Paboga and Isabel Posada

The 90 Day Fiancé couple parted ways in late February, Gabe announced via his YouTube channel.

“I feel betrayed. I feel used. I had everything taken away from me and I’m left with nothing. Nothing at all. I have nothing to my name,” he said, adding, “Me and Isabel are going to get a divorce. I’m tired of making excuses for her.”

Ray J and Princess Love

The couple, who have filed for divorce four times, called it quits in February.

“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of our decision to divorce,” Princess announced via social media. “After much reflection, discussion, and counseling, we have come to the difficult realization that our paths have diverged, and it is in the best interest of both of us to part ways.”

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright

Brittany Cartwright revealed that she and husband Jax Taylor have separated after facing several marital issues. “Many of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship,” she said during the February 29 episode of their “When Reality Hits” podcast. “I just think it’s important to be real and honest with you guys because we’ve shared so much of our lives with you guys.”

She then hinted about some of their problems. “On my last podcast I alluded to many marriages go through rocky times,” she continued. “Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year. Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.”

Romeo Beckham and Mia Regan

The soccer player and son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham announced his split from his girlfriend, Mia Regan, after five years of dating.

“Mooch and I have parted ways after 5 years of love,” Romeo wrote in a February 25 Instagram post. “We still have a lot of love and respect for each other, and still hold a strong friendship and always will.”

In her own Instagram Story announcement, Mia joked that she and Romeo had “friendzoned” each other but that they still “share lots and lots of love for one another.”

Meri Brown and Amos Andrews

Meri Brown took to Instagram to announce her split from Amos Andrews on February 24. The news came just over a month after she first confirmed the relationship.

“Last week, I had to face some hard truths and have some difficult conversations,” the Sister Wives star wrote. “Just because I care a lot about someone, and him me, does not equate to full compatibility for a long-term relationship. When we have different dreams and aspirations, different communication styles and values, different visions for our futures, and these things aren’t aligning, it’s then that we need to make hard decisions.”

In her post, she confirmed her “single” status and said she was going to take some time before dipping her toes back in the dating pool.

Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia

Porsha Williams filed for divorce from Simon Guobadia in Atlanta on February 20. Although the pair’s separation came following rumors about Simon’s citizen status, People reported that Porsha’s divorce filing was “unrelated to recent allegations involving Simon’s past.”

Just one week before she filed her paperwork, Porsha announced her return to RHOA for season 16 using her married name.

Landon Barker and Charli D’Amelio

Young lovers Landon and Charli called it quits in February 2024. Landon confirmed the news via his Instagram story, telling fans, “We broke up to focus on ourselves. We are still friends and have so much love for each other. I am incredibly grateful for the time we shared and hope you can respect our decisions.”

Sam Feher and Kory Keefer

Sam revealed that the Summer House stars split after nearly a year and a half of dating during a January 16 appearance on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.

“I’m not even out here to talk s–t. I think he’s great. I didn’t break up with him because I don’t love him. I broke up with him because he doesn’t love me, and that’s that,” the Bravo star said, before pointing out red flags in their relationship.

When Sam told Kory she loved him, he “didn’t say it back. That was like really a big problem for me,” she revealed. “I was like, ‘I think I need to get out, it’s becoming clear.’”

Catherine Paiz and Austin McBroom

The YouTube stars of The Ace Family announced on January 11 that they were ending their seven-year marriage. “We have mutually agreed to a divorce and will part amicably,” Catherine wrote in an Instagram statement, adding,  “Our paths as a couple have shifted and has created challenges that are irreconcilable.”

Austin in his announcement told fans, “For this new year, I’ll be taking a leap of faith. I’ve made the hardest decision of my life. The decision to close the book to my marriage…” He stated that he and Catherine “mutually agreed to a divorce” but will continue to coparent their three children as a “team.”

Bryan Abasolo and Rachel Lindsay

Bachelor Nation was shook when former Bachelorette Rachel’s husband Bryan filed for divorce on January 2, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

“After more than 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to part ways and start anew, My parents have been married forever and I’m a family man but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means you must let go. I wanted you to hear it from the source before the blogs start making up their own reality,” Bryan wrote on Instagram. “Please respect the spaces of our family and friends as we figure out our next steps. Respectfully, Bryan,” he added.

AJ McLean and Rochelle McLean

The Backstreet Boys member and his estranged wife told fans on New Year’s Day 2024 that they were ending their marriage, after separating 10 months earlier.

“As you all know we have been separated for over a year now. While we have hoped for reconciliation, we have decided to officially end our marriage,” the former couple wrote in a joint social media statement.

“It is with deep love and respect that we have made this decision,” the duo continued, adding, “Our focus now is moving forward in the healthiest possible way with friendship and coparenting our girls at the forefront of this next chapter. We appreciate your kindness respect and privacy at this time.”

The pair wed in December 2011 and welcomed daughter Ava the following year. They added to their family with the birth of their second daughter, Lyric, in March 2017.
