While young, the Knoxville Baseball Squad was able to put together a good hitting squad especially in the 2nd half of the season. The Panthers ended up 3rd in the South Central Conference in batting average at .274 and were also third in RBIs at 137. The Panthers were tops in the conference in doubles with 40 and had the 2nd lowest number of strikeouts with 167, their 233 hits were also third in the SCC. Knoxville went 16-18 to finish the season but won five of its last seven games.
