Carousel Theatre in Indianola begins their production of “Urinetown” this evening, the first of six performances across the next two weekends. Alex Lindsley with Carousel tells KNIA News Urinetown is a musical that takes place in a city with a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, which has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets.
Lindsley said the show is a mix of satire, comedy, drama, and contains a powerful message. The shows will be in the Indianola High School Auditorium this weekend and next, with Friday and Saturday shows at 7pm, and Sunday shows at 2pm. Find more information below.
