A new study from Bankrate reveals many of you are struggling to build your emergency savings, which is typically three to six months’ worth of expenses.
Here are some of the findings:
- Three in five (59%) U.S. adults are uncomfortable with their level of emergency savings
- Only 44% of Americans have at least three months of expenses saved
- 27% of U.S. adults have no emergency savings at all, the highest percentage since Bankrate asked the question in 2020.
