Faking Her Death

Mark and Kelly discussed the unusual topic of female frogs faking their deaths to avoid unwanted male attention during an October 2023 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark. Kelly joked that frogs “get that from us,” but Mark said he has a trick for seeing if Kelly is faking her death.

“When she’s faking her own death, I put [a little mirror] over her face to see if she’s breathing,” he said. “If it fogs up, it’s gonna be a nice Friday night.”

Kelly added, “That’s why I’ve learned to hold my breath for seven to 18 minutes! He thinks I’m dead constantly!”

When discussing how Kelly could improve her “death pose,” she explained why stretching out like a frog won’t work.

“I’m always afraid to stretch out though, because stretching out to you is sometimes like, that act in and of itself,” she said, prompting Mark to interject, “That’s second base!”

Who Wants More Sex?

Mark revealed who is the hornier person in their marriage, himself or Kelly, during a June 6 appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
Host Andy Cohen played a game with the Riverdale actor and fellow guest Rebecca Romjin where they had to hold up signs reading “agree” and “disagree” to various statements. When Andy stated, “My partner is the hornier one in my relationship,” Mark smiled and held up “disagree,” revealing he is more horny than Kelly.
The All My Children alum made another sex confession during the episode, sharing that when he talks dirty in bed, it is “only in Spanish.”

Posing Nude

The couple discussed an article about celebrities over 50 posing nude during the April 28, 2023, episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, which led Kelly to encourage Mark to do the same.

“Baring it all has no age limit, do you agree?” Mark asked his wife at the beginning of the conversation. “I like it, I’m for it! Body positivity, why not?”

She replied, “Of course — especially their bodies, my goodness. They are like, it’s like the Benjamin Buttoning of all Benjamin Buttons. Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry, Paulina Porizkova, Jennifer Lopez, Martha Stewart.”

Kelly then asked her husband if he would post nude, to which he replied, “No, I would not.”

“As somebody who has seen you [naked] many times, I highly encourage it,” she responded. “It’s a real treat.”

‘No Banging’

Kelly joked that having husband Mark join her as cohost on Live will hurt their sex life. During an April 6, 2023, appearance on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen relayed a fan’s question about former Good Morning America 3 cohosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach‘s romance and what it will be like for Kelly to work with the man who shares her bed.

“Mark and I have taken a vow of chastity while we’ll be working together,” Kelly joked. “Because I know how ABC does not like that. TV partners banging on the side. So we promise, no banging on the side.”

Prioritizing Sex

Kelly shared her thoughts on how important sex is in her relationship while appearing on Watch What Happens Live in December 2014.
“I fundamentally believe that the more you do it, the more you do it; the less you do it, the less you do it,” she said at the time.

Getting Caught

In 2019, Kelly and Mark revealed that their daughter walked in on them having sex on her birthday. “You just ruined my birthday! And my life! And I used to see in color and now everything is gray!” Lola yelled during the incident.

While appearing on the SiriusXM Radio Andy show Quarantined With Bruce in April 2020, Kelly and Mark explained to host Bruce Bozzi how they keep things sexy in their marriage.
“We were really young — not that that’s the right time in somebody’s life, but we were really, like, pliable, right? Kelly detailed a sexual encounter with Mark from 1997 that resulted with her blacking out and being hospitalized in her memoir, Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories.

“My eyes shift between the fuzzy images on the screen, the remnants of my ovarian tormentor, and Mark happily snacking away,” she recalled of waking up in the hospital in an excerpt published by Haute Living in September 2022.

“Sex can be so traumatic I think, and yet one of us is completely undaunted,” Kelly explained on Mark. “There he is, happily munching on the saltines now and ordering a second apple juice. Mark could be at a movie, or a spa. Instead, I’m flat on my back wondering when the other two cysts will burst.”

After she woke up, Kelly shared that Mark had dressed her in a 1980s French-cut leotard, an oversized pair of track pants and “f–k me” Manolo Blahniks for the hospital visit.

“Also, here is my husband, who is, dare I say, stylish, well-dressed at all times, and yet he dressed me like a dime store prostitute in my time of need,” she continued. “It’s still baffling to me to this day that this is the best costume for the day that he could find for me, to the point where, when I was on the stretcher, I thought I was dreaming; I was having a nightmare. I didn’t realize I had come to.”

Mark’s Birthday Tribute

Mark celebrated Kelly’s 52nd birthday on October 2 by sharing several photos of the birthday girl over the years, including a snap of the couple kissing. “Happy Birthday Sexy!!!” he wrote via Instagram. “What a year of accomplishments. So proud of you.”

Posting for Madonna

While appearing on the November 28 episode of the “Everything Iconic” podcast, Kelly revealed why she shares so many thirst trap photos of Mark on social media.

Noting that she’s been known to share sexy photos of her husband, Kelly explained that she was inspired to post the snaps after learning that Madonna was following her on Instagram.

“[Celebrity trainer] Isaac Boots told me. He’s like, ‘Oh, my God, Madonna followed you,’ and I was like, ‘What? What? What?!’ And I immediately sort of changed everything I posted,” she explained. “I started posting only shirtless photos of Mark because I was like, ‘Madonna doesn’t want to see my kids. She wants to see eye candy.’”

After admitting that the idea was “so dark-sided,” the talk show host added, “My thought bubbles of Madonna following me and me feeding her something was like, forget anybody else.”

Warning Lola

Kelly and Mark gave Lola a warning about walking into their bedroom without knocking first when she moved back in with them during her last semester ​of college.

“Be warned Lola Consuelos. ‘Cause this week’s freaky week, isn’t it?” Mark said during the January 30, 2023, ​episode of Live! With Kelly and Ryan. “Yeah, this is January 30. We’re going to get freaky this week.”

Kelly and Mark revealed a prank they pull on their kids to make them uncomfortable during the May 25 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark.

“We make them think we’re frenching, because it disgusts them,” Kelly told the audience, though added that they “never [actually] French” in front of their children.

Mark chimed in to explain that they “fake” the kiss in good fun.

The couple revealed the prank while discussing their “romance languages.”

“The Europeans — we’re both from that descent,” Mark explained. “There’s the French kiss – one of my favorites. One of our kids’ favorites when we’re doing it. They love that.”
