NIS2 Services
The NIS2 Directive is the EU-wide legislation on cyber security
The NIS2 Directive (Network and Information Security Directive 2) is a significant enhancement of the original NIS Directive, aimed at bolstering cybersecurity across the European Union. Adopted in response to the growing threats to critical infrastructure and essential services, NIS2 expands the scope of sectors required to comply with its stringent security measures. This includes not only traditional sectors like energy, transport, and healthcare but also newer sectors such as digital services and public administration.
NIS2 mandates higher standards for risk management, including incident response, supply chain security, and business continuity planning. Organisations covered under this directive must implement robust cybersecurity measures, regularly assess risks, and report significant incidents within tight deadlines.
Additionally, NIS2 promotes enhanced cooperation between EU member states, facilitating a more coordinated response to cross-border cyber threats. By setting a unified standard for cybersecurity, NIS2 aims to protect the EU's digital economy and ensure the resilience of its critical infrastructure against evolving cyber threats.
