How Princess Charlotte Prepared for Her Wimbledon Appearance

Put Princess Charlotte in, coach, because the young royal has been practicing her tennis skills. During their mother-daughter date at Wimbledon, Kate Middleton revealed that Charlotte had been hitting the courts ahead of the men's finals.

While the Princess of Wales was the focus in the royal box, Charlotte's reactions to the game nearly stole the show. And it seems that she is following in the footsteps of her mother (and big brother) when it comes to her passion for the game. According to Hello!, Middleton revealed during the game that Charlotte had been "practicing yesterday" and that the sport is “really great for the youngsters," presumably referring to her other kids Princes George and Louis. George is also known to be an avid player and has even received a one-on-one coaching session with tennis star Roger Federer.

“At that stage, it’s all about just touching the ball,” Federer previously said about George's skillset. “It’s already good. Same with my boys. I think I have a little advantage that I actually spent some time, you know, with him.”

Middleton also reportedly told players that she and Charlotte had been “filling in the leaderboard” during Wimbledon and that the family as a whole enjoys the sport. “As a family, we play a lot,” she said.

Charlotte also met women's singles champion Barbora Krejčiková, who gifted the aspiring player her game-winning racket from the day before as seen in a video shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales X account. “That’s so special,” Middleton could be heard saying as Charlotte held the racket. Princess Kate then kissed the player on both cheeks and said, “Thank you very much, we really appreciate it.”
