You simply can't put a price on love, and it seems that when Prince William fell for Kate Middleton, he knew they'd be in it for the long haul. The heir reportedly refused to sign a prenup ahead of his wedding to Princess Kate, despite being advised to. They ultimately walked down the aisle on April 29, 2011, without a prenup in place, despite members of his circle suggesting he have one.

According toThe Mirror, shortly after the pair announced their engagement in November 2010, Princess Diana's former private secretary Patrick Jephson said, "If she was my sister, I'd tell her to get a good prenup. Kate's not just going into a marriage, she's going into a business."

The publication reported that senior royal sources at the time stated that no legally binding document was ever drafted. The sources also denied that anyone advised William to draft one in the first place.

A source told Daily Mail, "For him to refuse, it would have had to have been suggested to him by someone and it was not. There is no prenuptial agreement in place for this wedding."

If William had been cautioned, it would have likely been motivated by seeing other royal marriages end in divorce, including his parents King Charles III and Diana, as well as Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Keeping with tradition, neither Diana nor Ferguson signed a prenup; Charles had to pay Diana 17 million pounds (which equates to more than $22 million).

However, there is no cause for concern when it comes to Kate and William's marriage. They're still going strong after 13 years and three kids, George, 10, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6. The heir has also shown the utmost support for his wife as she undergoes preventative chemotherapy, which has left her "genuinely touched."
