Prince George Mirroring Prince William’s Expressions at the Euro Cups Is an Instant Meme

Prince William is a documented football (a.k.a. soccer) fan, and Prince George appears to be taking after his father in more ways than one. On July 14, the father-and-son duo attended the final game in the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, where their home country England played against Spain for the title.

During the event, George looked like a literal mini-me of William's. For starters, he matched his father in a navy blue suit, white button down shirt, and a navy blue tie with white stripes. The only difference between George and William's looks was that the 10-year-old's jacket had shiny gold buttons, and William's tie featured both red and white stripes.

The similarities didn't stop at their attire either. During the riveting match, William and George were caught on camera sharing some pretty similar facial expressions too. At one point, the father and son both looked worried with their mouths forming a perfect "O" shape. Elsewhere, they both held their hands to the sides of their faces in shock.

To support the soccer enthusiasts, Kate Middleton, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis tuned in from home, with the children sporting personalized jerseys to support England. Sadly, however, their team ultimately lost the game against Spain 2-1.

"@england, your teamwork, grit and determination were an inspiration to all of us, young and old. Congratulations to Spain. W & C," the Prince and Princess of Wales shared along with the sweet image of their two youngest.

Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte and her mom Kate Middleton attended a different sporting event on Sunday: the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. During the event, Middleton received a standing ovation while Charlotte looked up at her mother in awe.
