Unfortunately for Bennifer fans, the end of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's marriage means that we won't get to see the pair do another red carpet together. The news of the pair's split comes at a slightly awkward time—their film, Unstoppable, is set to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival tonight. Lopez stars in the film, while Affleck has a producing credit.

As Page Six previously reported, the newly separated couple decided not to walk down the red carpet together. In fact, Ben Affleck is not expected to attend the premiere at all. E! News confirmed that Affleck is staying in Los Angeles, where he is working and spending time with his children. This news came after reports by the Daily Mail that some people involved in the film's production were "pushing the two to appear together at the premiere in Toronto to create buzz on the film."

Although Lopez and Affleck will not be promoting their film together, as William Goldenberg said to Variety, there was “not really” any awkwardness between the exes. Instead, they managed to keep things professional.

“Everybody’s a professional, and that’s their own personal thing," he said. "I love them both. I mean, I know Ben better, but Jennifer was literally a dream to work with. She was incredible. And their personal life is their personal life."

According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail, Lopez is "excited" to attend the Unstoppable premiere despite Affleck's connection to the film.

"Jennifer if excited to head to the Toronto Film Festival to promote this film because Unstoppable means a lot to her, she wants to support it," said the source. "It is a true life story that is very inspirational and she is proud to be a part of it. Acting in the movie was a high point for her."

The source added that Lopez's trip to Toronto would be a quick one. “She won’t be in Toronto for very long as she has other matters to attend to," they said.
