Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday attended the National Cadet Corps (NCC) rally at Cariappa Ground in Delhi. Addressing the gathering he said that no development around the world cannot be imagined without the contribution of the youth of India, currently. PM Modi said that the government has worked towards removing the barriers facing the youth of the country over the past decades.
“I am satisfied that in the past years the government has worked towards the development of NCC,” PM Modi said. He said that the NCC cadets have reached over 170 border areas around 100 coastal border areas which have benefited the people living in the area.
Speaking on silmulatneous elections, PM Modi urged the NCC, NSS cadets and the youngsters to continue the debate on "one election one nation" as it is directly connected to the future of the youth. “If polls are held every month, then how will students get time to study in colleges and institutions,” he said.
PM Modi urged the youth of the country along with NCC cadets to focus on the motive of a 'Viksit Bharat' as it will help usher India to new heights and grow as a country internationally.
PM Modi said that in 2014, there were 14 lakh NCC cadets while at present that number has reached to around 20 lakhs and said that it is of pride that more than 8 lakh NCC cadets currently are women. "I am proud that NCC is the largest uniformed youth organisation in the world and has reached all sectors including disaster management,” PM Modi said
The Prime Minister said that in the past decades 1.5 lakh unicorns and start-ups have come up which has boosted the entrepreneurial sector in the country and aided in rising to prominence in the global stage.
"Future of world can't be imagined without India's youngsters. That is why I call you force for global good," PM Modi said.
