Lukamari

This is not some new and extraordinary movie in the genre, but is a well made movie for the most part. Feels quite clichéd at some points, but is quite enjoyable and quite hilarious.

The movie does a great job with the main characters. Budhan, Unique, Kirateswar, Mushya Sahu, etc have been put over very well. Every character has a very peculiar and fun element with them. The movie works well because the characters have been put over very well and you actually care about what they do. It also shows a generic and typical Newar family outstandingly. The movie gives hilariously funny moments in the first part, but doesn't completely lose the direction in which it intends to go. There are quick reminders of what is actually going on, along with some entertaining sequences. The second half is a bit more serious, but still retains the fun part of the first part. There are various revealings and twists. The various subplots coincide well to form a coherent plot of the whole movie.

There are some bad parts as well. The major one is that the last part feels too rushed. The revealings are a bit predictable (most of them) and the ending feels very abrupt. The characters are built so good that some characters not getting something more may disappoint. Songs are forgettable and purposeless.
