Joachim Wall is still searching The Sound and Køge Bay in the hope of finding his daughter's phone. In 2018, Jens Møller quit as Head of Homicide at Copenhagen Police and retired shortly afterwards. During the investigation Ingrid and Joachim Wall established the Kim Wall Memorial Fund. The Fund awards grants to young female journalists who, like Kim Wall, want to tell the stories of those unable to do so."
