Featured review
The format of this show, compared to other versions such as the far superior Britain's Got Talent or America's Got Talent, is lacklustre to say the least. For one, there is no live voting, which means there is zero engagement with the at-home viewing audience. The judges simply elect which act/s go through to the next round, which cuts the tension when it comes to eliminations time to virtually nil. There are also no live shows or Judge Cuts. The host isn't very engaging either, although she's nice enough. The choice of judges is also baffling - Shane, Lucy and Nicole make sense, but Manu? I can't figure that one out. Overall, it's just really disappointing comparing this pointless iteration of the show to its far more popular and more entertaining overseas counterparts.
