- TriviaWhen Tenchi catches Ryoko during her battle with Kagato in episode 6, he tells her "I still have feet". This was Tenchi's way of reassuring Ryoko that he's not dead. In Japanese folklore, ghosts are typically portrayed as legless.
- GoofsIn Tenchi Muyo OVA 3 (which it was made around 2000) the sound effects, when you set your DVD language to Japanese, doesn't match the motions of the character at all. In the English one it does match.
- Alternate versionsIn the dubbed cartoon network version, the scene where Ryoko was discovered in Tenchi's bed was shortened because part of her cleavage was shown and Tenchi was reacting to it in a funny way and Ryoko's cleavage was covered with a drawn-on brassier; in the scene where Ryoko was taking a bath, she was naked but ended up with a drawn-on swim suit; the same goes with Ayeka when Ryoko removed her towel in front of Tenchi.

I really liked Tenchi Muyo! TV (aka Tenchi Universe). The plot was really good and the characters were kept true to their counterparts in the OVA. One thing I didn't like is that there were a few characters that were basically ignored throughout the series only receiving one or two episodes to their name (namely Washu). The animation isn't as good as the OVA but it is definitely better than Shin Tenchi TV. This is a quality anime as well. I'd recommend this to anyone who even mentioned anime around me.
