Sibongile Ngako

Sibongile (see-bone-GHEE-lay) Ngako is an actress, Harvard graduate and classically trained singer originally from Brooklyn, New York where she grew up performing with the Theater and Dance Alliance, which has such alumni as Kerry Washington and Jordan Peele. Sibongile recently played Becca in the film 'Reaching for Sky' which is now an official selection in the San Diego Film Week festival. Sibongile was also featured in the Arts section of the San Diego Union-Tribune and in a devised production of 'Allegory' at the La Jolla Playhouse WOW Festival, directed by Sammi Cannold.
Known for her versatility and range, Sibongile has received praise for her film portrayals and recently wrapped production in the lead role for the feature film 'Sophistry.' She made her professional theatre debut in the role of Jessica in Alan Ayckbourn's 'Communicating Doors' and has since performed in several iconic theatre productions, including 'La Cage aux Folles,' 'Cabaret,' and 'Bare: A Pop Opera.'
Sibongile speaks fluent French and enjoys singing a variety of styles, including rock, soul, and opera. When she's not honing her craft or singing 'Let It Go' with wild abandon, she enjoys spending time with her husband Patrick and their 3 beautiful children.
