Robert Linsley is a filmmaker based out of Sydney, Australia. A graduate of the New York Film Academy in New York City, Robert returned to Sydney in 2013 to pursue his career in his homeland. After four years of rigorous development, he presented his short film 'Ritual' in 2019 as his directorial debut in Australia. That same year Linsley also wrote and directed 'Nowhere Arkansas', a civil war drama shot in Shreveport, Louisiana. 'Nowhere Arkansas' has since been selected as one of the top 20 short films to participate in the 2019 Louisiana Film Prize.
Born and raised on Sydney's Northern Beaches, Robert fell in love with movies as a young child when he became addicted to watching Steven Spielberg's 1991 film, 'Hook'. Since then, Robert's passion for movies has expanded to include adulating the works of filmmaking greats such as Martin Scorsese, David Fincher and Stanley Kubrick.
