Jon Augustavo was born in Seattle, WA. He became interested in
television production and directing at an early age, filming and
editing numerous home videos for his family and friends.
Augustavo graduated from Washington State University's Murrow College of Communication in 2006.
After college, Augustavo began making music videos for numerous local Seattle musicians before deciding to pursue a full-time career in film production, cinematography and directing. He later enrolled in graduate school at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.
Jon recently won 3 MTV Video Music Awards for his work with Seattle Rapper Macklemore. His videos for "Same Love," and "Can't Hold Us," took home the accolades for Best Hip Hop Video, Best Cinematography and Best Video with a Social Message.
As of 2013, Jon has focused on various short film projects, but is still actively working with musicians on a variety of creative video endeavors.
