Lucy Gaffy is an award-winning filmmaker who has worked across feature films, episodic television, documentaries and short form. Lucy has been nominated by the ADG for Best Director four times and her short film Dream Baby won the 2016 AACTA Award for Best Short Film.
Lucy has worked numerous times in episodic television, Directing episodes of Doctor Doctor (The Nine Network), The Unlisted (Netflix), Amazing Grace(The Nine Network) and Irreverent (Netflix).
In 2023 Lucy was the set-up director for the Sundance/STAN series Totally Completely Fine and is about to embark on the new Aquarius Films series Mix Tape for BINGE, which will commence photography in Dublin this coming March.
Lucy also Directed the opening story "We the Spiders" for the anthology feature film, Here Out West (Co-Curious/ ABC, 2021) alongside directors Ana Kokkinos, Leah Purcell, Julie Kalceff and Fadia Abboud. The film had its World Premiere as the Opening Night Film for the 2021 Sydney Film Festival and was nominated for the 2022 AACTA Award for Best Film.
In addition to her active directing work, Lucy is also developing several projects for the screen.
