Yoann was born close to Geneva, Switzerland, on the border between France and Switzerland. He is both Swiss and French. In his teens he spent a year as an exchange student in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he studied theater. Later, he attempted INSAS, in Brussels, Belgium. He graduated in 1997 and he has been performing in theater since then in Belgium, France or Switzerland.
In 2010 he wrote the short movie « Week-end » and he was offered one of the main roles in « De leur vivant ».
He then started to perform in different movies. In 2016 he played the main role in the series « The break » (« la Trêve » - 2 seasons), but also the leading part in « Un homme à la mer » for which he received the Magritte award for the most promising actor in 2017.
He kept on performing as well for the theater, as for films or series since then.
In 2019 he was nominated for the Magritte award for best actor in supporting role for his performance in the movie « The Benefit of the Doubt ».
In 2022 he is Mark (male lead role) in the Belgian series « Pandore ».
