Kwon Hyuk-woo, better known by his stage name Loco, is a South Korean rapper signed to the hip hop label AOMG headed by Jay Park. His name "loco" means "crazy" in Spanish.
Growing up in an affluent family, Loco attended prestigious schools and was exposed to music from a young age. He started rapping in high school and went on to compete in rap battles in underground hip-hop venues. In 2009, he won the underground hip-hop competition "Show Me the Money" and his career began to take off. Then in 2012, he won the first season of Mnet's rap competition Show Me the Money with his debut single "See the Light".
Loco's breakthrough success came in 2014 with the release of his debut album 'Local Rapper'. The album was a huge success, topping the Korean charts for weeks, and won him multiple awards including Best R&B/Soul Album at the Korean Music Awards. Following this success, he released three more albums: 'Bleached' in 2015, 'Fallin' in 2017, and 'Mansion' in 2019. Collaborations
Throughout his career, Loco has been featured on songs with some of the biggest names in South Korean hip-hop such as Jay Park, Crush, Gray, and many more. He has also collaborated with some international artists such as Rich Brian and Smokepurpp.
