Daniel Beals(I)
- Director
- Writer
- Producer
Daniel is the award-winning director/ writer of the pandemic-era horror short Don't Be Afraid (2021) (Best Thriller at the Couch Film Festival and Best Music at the Independent Horror Movie Awards). His brand is HARNESSING YOUR FIRE to overcome adversity.
WATCH DOGS 2 in REAL LIFE! (2016), the comedic promotional video he directed for Defy Media and Ubisoft, has garnered over 6 million views on YouTube since its launch, proving to be one of the most successful videos for YouTube content creators The Warp Zone (2010). The track for his current successes was laid when he won the Best Directing honor at the Blaquefyre Film Festival for the dark comedy, Mediating Kidnapper (2013). starring Jim O'Heir (lovable but pathetic Jerry from Parks & Recreation) in a dark turn against type.
Daniel's feature script for the dramatic thriller, The Crimson Pool, was a finalist and honorable mention at WeScreenplay's Feature Lab while his action drama script, The Empress of DäGar, placed in the semifinals at the Page International Screenwriting Awards.
Daniel utilizes his Bealsbeub brand (based on the nickname he once received from a sage-like comic store owner he worked for in his youth) to encourage everyone to persevere in their ambitions. He volunteers his free time encouraging other straight white men (in life and through his work) to embrace, celebrate, staff, and better represent worlds that are populated by people who don't look or love like them because acknowledging our shared humanity makes us all limitless. When he isn't writing or making movies, he's likely chilling in a cafe, traveling (often to chill in international cafes), and relaxing with his wife while doing many of these things.
