Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark was born on 2 February 1882 in Athens, Greece. He was married to Princess Alice of Battenberg. He died on 3 December 1944 in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
After World War I, he was accused of treason and exiled from Greece, as were most of the Greek royal family. He returned to serve in the army during the Greco-Turkish War, but was exiled again in 1922 when the monarchy was abolished, and spent most of his later life in France.
