Craig Rivera
- Producer
The youngest of five children, Craig Rivera grew up in West Babylon,
Long Island. He attended Kutztown University where he played lacrosse
and majored in Communications and Media Studies. In 1977 while still in
school, Craig Rivera interned with ABC News alongside his brother,
Geraldo Rivera, covering the New York City blackout in Harlem. He
credits this opportunity with motivating him to pursue a career in
journalism.
He would go on to attend the Community Film Workshop, a program where veteran journalists teach aspiring minorities the technical skills related to news gathering. Craig Rivera's first paying job came with ABC's '20/20', where he worked for eight years completing investigative reports. He would then move on to 'Inside Edition' in 1986, where he worked for the first time as an on-air talent.
Shortly after the 9/11/2001 attacks in New York, Craig Rivera joined Fox News Channel to cover the American conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. He continues to work with Fox News Channel today, serving as a Senior Producer and Correspondent with the network. Additionally, he produces a weekly investigative segment on his brother's program, 'Geraldo at Large'.
