Alice Reijs studied at the Theater Academy in Maastricht. Her career started at the National Theater in Den Haag. Her first role immediately caused a breakthrough. She was nominated for the Colombina Theater Prize.
In addition to a successful theater career she also played roles in various Dutch films and television series.
In 2000 Alice moved to Belgium where she played in several theater and television productions. She also wrote her own plays for both children and adults. In 2015 Alice won the audience award for best actress and best play for her role in Ans en Wilma.
In 2013, she made the television series The Eleventh of the Eleventh. This was the first time she worked as a screenwriter, director and actress in the same production.
Shortly she will be seen in the dutch-flemish co-production Ferry.
